Cinemagraphs and animated GIFs are great ways to bring images to life and surprise the viewer.

Cinemagraphs are often described as a ‘magical hybrid of photography and video’. They contain subtle motion that plays in a short, never-ending loop, while the rest of the image remains still. Since cinemagraphs are photos in disguise, they surprise when they come to life with hints of motion. A GIF contains a number of images in a single file and presented in a specific order to convey animation.

They are both incredibly popular in social media and email campaigns and are likely to increase audience engagement.
